Conveniently placed for visiting the wild Pennine moors of Bronte Country to the west, the more pastural scenery of the Yorkshire Dales to the north and north west, and the historic city of York and the North York Moors to the north east, Leeds makes a good central city base for touring the sights and attractions of Yorkshire and other parts of the north of England.
