Slaithwaite

Slaithwaite is a village in the Colne Valley to the west of Huddersfield in the Kirklees area of West Yorkshire.

Somewhat bizarrely, "Slaithwaite" is pronounced (at least locally) as something like "Sloo-it", though most people from outside the area pronounce the name as "Slaith-waite" !
