covers an area of the West Yorkshire and East Lancashire Pennines in Northern England,
lying generally east of
Manchester,
to the north of the
Peak District
national park
and generally west of, but also including, the
Bradford
/
Leeds
and
Calderdale
/
Kirklees
industrial conurbation.
The area also includes what is known as
Pendle Witch Country
to the north west, whilst to the north and north east
Bronte Country
is bordered by the
Aire Gap,
the market town of
Skipton,
and the
Yorkshire Dales
national park.
