Birstall is a small town just adjacent to Batley in the Kirklees district of West Yorkshire's Bronte Country .
Bronte related attractions in the area include Oakwell Hall, and Red House in nearby Gomersal, as well as St Peter's Church, the Rydings and Brookroyd House in Birstall itself.
