Local Bid Launched to Save Bronte Birthplace
A group of people from Thornton Village are campaigning to save the Bronte Birthplace - which is understood to be about to be put on the market again.
The new group have formed the Bronte Birthplace Trust (2012) and have discussed various ideas on raising the funds to buy the property, which was formerly converted in to a museum by the late Barbara Whitehead before its sale to a private owner in 2007.
