Plans for Positive Bradford Day Announced
Plans are well advanced for the first Positive Bradford Day to be held on Wednesday, 28th September 2011.
From noon onwards, Centenary Square and the Urban Park will become a giant showcase for all that’s good about Bradford.
Events planned include a varied programme of music, dancing, fashion shows, sports coaching, crisp tasting, cheerleading, record breaking and great displays to interest just about everybody. Better still, it will all be FREE!
The event organisers, Positive Bradford, working with many of the district’s dynamic businesses and with Bradford Council, have been inundated with calls from people, groups and companies keen to take part. “It’s just amazing how much support and interest we’re getting” say Bradford business leaders Jane Vincent and Saleem Kadar, who created Positive Bradford to promote the city and defend it against unfair criticism. Jane added: “We’re not looking at Bradford through rose tinted glasses. We all know it’s got loads of challenges – but what big cities and districts across the country don’t?”
