New "We Are Art" website launched
The much anticipated "We Are Art" website has now been launched - promoting the works of a range of local artists and photographers based in Saltaire and the wider Bronte Country area.
The "We Are Art" site aims to promote and sell works by artists in the West Yorkshire area and is actively encouraging more talent to join. Having toured the world for the past 30 years with such acts as The Cure, The Moody Blues and Andrea Bocelli, Mick Thornton, the Creative Director of "We Are Art" is keen to promote the work in the USA and Japan as well as in his native Yorkshire. Says Mick: "There's a huge interest in these territories and I feel that local talent should not be restricted to being available in local outlets."
Featured artists include Stuart Hirst, who displays a range of of his work from the "Street Life" series to "Wet Streets" and a range of older Hirst projects. The "Wet Streets" works in particular depict evocative scenes of cobbled streets in the Bronte Country area (including Haworth and Saltaire).
The "We Are Art" site is also promoting the photographic talents of Roger Pearson, who for the past 40 years has been at the top of his game photographing amazing landscapes from around the world. Roger captures the moment with his unique images and has a huge catalogue of photographs in his portfolio.
