Exploring the Brontes at the Morley Arts Festival

A special event celebrating the Brontes is being put on as part of the forthcoming Morley Arts Festival, which is taking place in October 2016 in Morley, near Leeds.

The event, which is scheduled to take place on the evening of Saturday 8th October 2016, is entitled "Exploring the Brontes" and will feature poetry readings by Simon Zonenblick of Caterpillar Poetry and a premiere performance by Caroline Lamb of her newly written monologue "The Cold Plunge", which brings to life the character of Mary Taylor, who was a friend of Charlotte Bronte. .

There will also be a photography exhibition featuring work by award winning photographers Helka Czuhra and Ian Parker with images of the Bronte Parsonage in Haworth and the Red House and Oakwell Hall in Kirklees.

The event itself is free, but capacity is limited so pre-booking is advisable to ensure a seat.
