Dragon Boat Festival hailed a big success
The recent dragon boat festival which was held on the River Aire at Robert's Park in Saltaire has been hailed a big success.
Held over three days over the weekend of the 5th, 6th and 7th May 2017 the event saw teams in various categories competing in races over a short section of the river, which thousands of visitors turned up to see.
The final day included corporate teams raising money for charity, and with an array of stalls and entertainments in the Robert's Park there was a real "party atmosphere" similar to that at the Saltaire Festival, and it is hoped that the dragon boat festival will become a regular event on the Saltaire events calendar!
