Hartshead
In 1811 Patrick Bronte became minister at St Peter's Church in Hartshead (just outside Dewsbury to the south east of Bradford in what is now known as West Yorkshire's Bronte Country ).
From there they moved to the village of Thornton on the outskirts of Bradford where their famous daughters Charlotte, Emily and Anne were born at the house which is now known as the Bronte Birthplace.
Bronte Country is designed, maintained and promoted by Eagle Intermedia Publishing Ltd.
