Wakefield
Set to the eastern side of Kirklees and well connected with Leeds, Wakefield is an industrial town within reach of many of the attractions of West Yorkshire's Bronte Country .
Nearby places to visit include the National Coal Mining Museum (where it is possible to take a trip underground in to one of the area's previously working coal mines), and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
