Local company sponsors Haworth 1940s Weekend for 2015
Just three years after a group of dedicated individuals stepped in to rescue the famous Haworth 1940s Weekend back in 2012 following the demise of the Haworth Village Association in 2011 the celebrations have again found themselves in jeopardy - this time due to a shortfall in funding required to stage the popular charity event.
Fortunately it has now been announced that the Green Deal Factory Ltd. (an energy efficiency financing business based in nearby Keighley) has offered to support the event by providing sponsorship for 2015, with funding being required for entertainments, health and safety and the organisation required to the ensure smooth running of things given the large numbers of visitors expected.
This means that once again the www.haworth1940sweekend.co.uk should be going ahead as usual this year (2015), which is obviously great news for SSAFA (the armed forces charity which the event is currently supporting), as well as Haworth village and the wider Bronte Country area !
