On Sunday 5th May 2019 the forth and final stage of the fifth "Tour de Yorkshire" saw international road cycling racing return again to the Bronte Country area.

Starting again from the Piece Hall in Halifax the route took in Denholme, Haworth, Oakworth, Goose Eye and Laycock before dropping down to Skipton and on in to the Yorkshire Dales before ending the final stage day's racing in Leeds.

As in previous years large crowds turned out to line the route and cheer on the cyclists in what was yet another great event for Yorkshire and the Bronte Country area.

The stage was won by the Dutch rider Greg van Avermet, with Britain's Chris Lawless being crowned overall winner of the four day event for Team Ineos.
