Thornton Viaduct

Thornton Viaduct in winter

Originally built to carry the Great Northern Railway from Queensbury to Keighley the Thornton Viaduct crosses the valley of Bradford Beck at Thornton, and can be seen from the Bronte Way which passes close by.

Although the viaduct fell in to disuse with the closure of the railway line, it has now been reopened as part of the Great Northern Railway Trail project.
